Made in 1918. Features the original "PH" stamped barrel (sans serifs), correct rear and front sight, long smooth trigger, short checkered wide spur hammer, checkered safety and slide stop, flat mainspring housing with lanyard, and lovely diamond checkered walnut grips. Left side of frame has Springfield eagle, with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY". Left side of slide has pony in center with later 1913 patent date. Right side of slide is stamped "MODEL 1911 U.S. ARMY". Has the Type IV tampered magazine with pin base. Pistol retain about 98% of the expertly reapplied blue finish. Fine bore and action.
