Gun (A) is a Colt 1849 single action percussion revolver manufactured 1853. This revolver has mismatched numbers as follows: frame is 64722; barrel, trigger guard, back strap and cylinder are numbered 46830; and wedge is homemade replacement. Walnut grips with chip on left and right side. All metal has some wiped-on blue. Legends readable. Indexes fine and has strong rifling. Gun (B) is a Colt House Model Revolver manufactured 1871-1876. Barrel and cylinder have been reblued. Numerous vise marks on barrel. Partially readable. Repainted finish on both. Brass frame polished. Left grip chipped. Cylinder does not index. A great restoration project and needs mechanical attention.
