Manufactured 1871. Features full round barrel, full magazine, twin barrel bands, front sight, brass frame, steel carbine trapdoor buttplate and walnut stocks. Saddle ring removed and plugged. Rear sight missing. All steel parts are basically grey patina. Barrel markings are mostly readable. Brass is not polished but was cleaned at one time. Walnut buttstock shows some dings with dryness and open seams. Left side of wrist shows some pinned repair. Rear barrel band screw replaced. Fine working action. Bore has visible rifling but shows usual roughness. Honest example of a well-used "Yellow Boy".
