Probably circa 1600, head and straps forged from a single piece of iron, integrated forged wavy straps measure about 12" each. Armor piercing diamond-section spike of 11 inches. Complete with octagonal 67" haft, probably original, held in place by four hand forged nails. Spotted brown patina on head with some marks from use and wear to edges. Haft retains a mostly dark old finish with some scuffing and wear. For a similar example, see page 30, plate 23 in "American Polearms 1526-1865" by Rodney Hilton Brown. That example, from the Fort Ticonderoga Museum is Dutch circa 1530.
