Browned two-stage rifled barrel, top flat signed "Thos. Williams - Sugar Hollow" on top flat in script. Threaded removable touch hole. Flat flintlock lockplate. Early style brass furniture, mostly in the French style, with the exception of the patchbox, which is in the early Northampton County, Pennsylvania style and features a raised panel lid. Full-length highly figured maple stock of Lehigh County form, relief-carved C-scrolls on left side of buttstock. Brass-tipped wooden ramrod. Barrel retains most of brown finish with some thinning and some wear around rear sight. Lock shows scattered areas of freckling and dark spots. Brass retains a mellow patina. Stock very good with a few scattered light marks from use. This would make a great deer hunting rifle and has a great early look.
