Round smoothbore steel barrel with patent breech stamped with some partially legible proofmarks. Flat percussion lockplate is unmarked. Standard model 1842 steel furniture, many components with Austrian inspector marks. Plain full-length stock. Complete with replaced steel ramrod. All steel components retain a spotted grey or brown patina with some corrosion around breech and scattered freckling elsewhere. Stock has some scattered marks from use.
