Factory letter lists Serial No. 84553 as a 5" blue .38 Super shipped to Wolf & Klar in Ft. Worth, Texas November 15th, 1950. This early "Fat Barrel" full factory blued Model 1911-A1 .38 Super was manufactured in 1950. Sports the very early hard plastic brown Colt logo grips which replaced the military style grips used prior. This pistol has some scattered light high edge wear. Still fully retaining approximately 98-99% of its original high polish factory blue finish with non-glare top. It is in near new condition inside and out. Extremely difficult to find these early "Fat Barrels" in such fine condition. Comes with original instructions in a brown generic box.
