Offered is an antique hand-built miniature birch bark Native American canoe that measures 53" in length and 7 - 3/4" at its widest area. It was hand-built around a solid wood frame, assembled with brads that show lots of age. The wooden slats, also homemade, are typical in their inconsistency. The birch body is in excellent condition with a minor repair on one end that has come loose; otherwise excellent. This is a beautiful, early hand-made canoe; probably turn of the century. CORRECTION: This is Native American Made circa 19th c.
