Octagonal steel barrel with adjustable ramp rear sight and stamped "H. HATTERSLEY CLEV. O. / 1103" on top flat. Flat stamp-engraved percussion lockplate marked "Partridge" in center. Plain brass furniture and small two-piece patchbox. Highly figured walnut half-stock with pewter cap. Original wooden ramrod. Barrel retains much of original browned finish with some scratches and scattered marks from use, some corrosion at breech. Lock has a brown patina with some light freckling. Left side of stock has one crack and repaired fracture near forend cap and a knot that was patched, probably at time rifle was made, otherwise very good with a few scattered scratches and marks. A nice Ohio target rifle.
