Coin operated automatic 12 disc changing music box with a motif of carved dragons, the discs played by a duplex comb. The magnificent Regina music box is housed in a rich mahogany cabinet with exceptional carved details found throughout. The ornate columns flank the center, highlighting the curvature of the mythical dragon's bodice which showcases the interior Regina lithographic print with a copyright of 1896 and is accented by a Georgian banister apex. Features include 12 inter-changeable discs which are stored below, dual combs free from broken teeth and twin motors. As this was manufactured in 1900, there is minor wear but the sounds resonating from this music box are sweet, fascinating, and exquisite. This Regina accepts quarters and is complete with a song selecting dial. The one crank provided winds both main springs and can easily be pulled out and placed into the other shaft to wind the other spring. Originally, there would have been two cranks. Serial number 46269. One key is provided.
