Manufactured 1908. This standard octagon rifle remains in superb, all original, untouched condition. Features full octagon barrel, full magazine, blued finish, Winchester sporting front and rear sights, case colored hammer and lever, walnut stocks and rifle butt. Barrel and tube retain approximately 95-97% original factory blue with simple high edge and muzzle wear. Left side of frame retains 95% original brilliant blue, thinning at forearm to brown patina. 70% blue on base mixing patina. 90% on right side with patina at forend. 90% original blue on loading gate. Generous amounts of case colors on hammer and sides of lever. Nose cap retains approximately 75% original blue with some patina toning, as does magazine retaining band. All screw heads are near perfect and appear untouched. Traces of case colors on buttplate, balance patterned out. Wood is excellent to near mint, proud to metal with no cracks. Fine action and strong, clean rifled bore. A very fine condition, all original Model 1892 standard rifle. Factory research states rifle sent June 9th, 1908. No other information available.
