Manufactured 1915. This is a standard issue Model 1895 Takedown in one of the more popular calibers and a favorite amongst hunters and shooters alike. Features full round barrel, sporting sights, blued finish, walnut stocks and rifle butt. All legends are razor sharp. Barrel retains approximately 85% original factory blue, albeit there is some thinning. Frame retains generous amounts of brilliant blue with the balance simply dulled to a blue-grey patina. Sides of lever retain approximately 75% brilliant blue. Bolt retains nearly all of its high polish blue finish. Box magazine retains bright blue on sides with blue-brown patina at base. Wood is excellent and proud to metal with a few minor dings and bruises. Fine bore and action. Far above average condition, was used but well cared for and just as good a shooter today as it was 100 years ago.
