Manufactured 1933. This is basically a standard issue flat side with the exception that the left side has the British crown with lion and unicorn. The royal seal reads "DIEU ET MON DROIT" in French and translates to "God and my right", which is the motto of the Monarch of the United Kingdom outside Scotland. Left side of the slide has the "BNP" proof. Bottom of barrel has "BNP" crown with tonnage and "KB4" in circle. Right side of frame has the "BTC" import stamp (extremely small) with "X", "E" and "P" individual stamps. The "P" stamp is also found on right side of frame and barrel. Pistol has been beautifully and expertly restored right down to the fire blued small parts; retaining virtually all of this finish. Walnut grips are numbered to the gun and should be refinished to match. Features lanyard loop. The "E" with star stands for Enfield repair. "BNP" is Birmingham proof. Fine bore and action. Beautiful pistol.
