This amazing rifle was custom built by famed riflemaker John Bolliger. John Bolliger, the founder of Mountain Riflery, Inc. began following his dream in 1966 creating custom rifles. Since 1986, John has devoted his life to the creation of some of the finest works of the custom riflemakers art being produced, not only in the USA but internationally as well. From his record setting Grizzley Rifle, (sold at auction in 1992 for $225,000.00) the highest price ever paid for an American Custom Sporting Rifle. John began this project utilizing a Winchester Model 70 action. He custom built and signed a .22-250 barrel, sans sights, and finished it in beautiful rust blue. The bolt was finely jeweled. Bolt handle is finely checkered on five panels, but it is the stock work that sets this exquisite rifle apart. Using highly grained circassian walnut, finely hand checkered in a beautiful wrap-around pattern, extended wood with inset sling swivel, straight comb, roll-over cheek piece, hard rubber buttplate and mounted with Swaroski 3x10x42 Habicht scope, the finest glass available on the planet. Rifle is in as new condition inside and out. Pictures will show the beauty of this rifle far better than any writer's words.
