This deluxe Model 1887 lever action shotgun was manufactured in 1887, first year production. Features a 30" factory browned fine Damascus barrel, blued tube, round knob checkered triple X walnut stock with forend panels, case colored frame and lever. Tube retains approximately 30% blue, balance thinning smooth patina. Frame and lever have basically turned soft grey patina. Fine checkered shotgun steel buttplate. Wood is excellent to near mint with sharp checkering, proud to metal, never touched. Excellent screws. Fine bore and action. Beautiful early, deluxe and scarce Model 1887. Factory research states 30" 12 gauge Model 1887 with fancy checkered stock, pistols grip, and fine Damascus, shipped May 19th, 1887.
