Manufactured 1939. Matching number on bolt. Features round barrel, hooded ramp front sight, sight filler on barrel collar, frame cut for stripper clip, pistol grip checkered straight comb walnut stock, checkered steel shotgun buttplate, sling swivels and blued finish. No grip cap. Sports a Bushnell 6x Banner scope on Weaver mounts with standard crosshair optics. 98% original blue on barrel and frame with a couple small usual marks. Wood is excellent with sharp checkering and a couple minor impressions. Left side of the frame has two extra plugged screw holes, obviously for some sort of mount. Fine action and strong, clean bore. The .22 Hornet was offered from 1937 to 1954 only and constitutes only 3.49% of total production.
