Approximately 1,621 carbines manufactured between 1883 and 1885 only; all in .44 caliber. Features full round barrel, full magazine, twin bands, post front sight, single blade dovetail rear sight, open top frame, walnut stocks and carbine buttplate. Razor sharp Colt address on top of barrel. All metal is basically grey patina. Walnut stocks are very good to excellent and proud to metal. Buttplate does not have a trapdoor. Fine action. Visible rifling. This is a standard carbine, not a lightweight.
