Manufactured 1961. Known as the Gopher Special. The featherweight barrel is made without sights with blued finish. Features jeweled bolt, Monte Carlo walnut stock, sling swivels, Winchester composite buttplate, and alloy trigger guard and floorplate. No serial number on bolt. Gun is in near new condition inside and out with a couple of minor storage marks. On page 251 of Roger Rules book The Rifleman's Rifle. it states that these were built for Gohper Shooter's Supply of Faribault, Minnesota. Only cataloged for three years before being discontinued. Estimate of 300 rifles made.
