Manufactured 1894. The offered Model 1873 has a handsome, homogeneous eye-appeal. Standard features include full magazine, double bands, post front sight, folding ladder rear sight, blued finish, walnut stock, saddle ring and stud, and carbine butt. All metal surfaces are a clean, smooth rich patina with razor sharp legends. Buttstock is a bit shy at wrist and has been freshened up. Forearm is proud to metal. Fine action. Very strong rifling. If you are looking for a nice, clean, classic '73 carbine you should be very pleased with this example.
