The receiver of this rifle was manufactured in 1932. The barrel is dated "SA 4-18". The "RA'P" stamp on left side of stock is a Raritan Arsenal rework mark 1918-49. All parts on this rifle are machined steel with no. 03-A3 parts. Frame and barrel have the original 1930-40's dull military blue-black finish. Has a World War II style rear sight with flat adjustment knobs, a walnut hand guard with sight groove, two bolt walnut stock with finger groove, fully checkered steel buttplate with trapdoor, milled trigger guard and floorplate, and 1918 dated sling. Stock is in excellent condition. Metal retains most of its arsenal reapplied finish. Excellent strong bore. ME reading: 1. TE reading: 1.5. Very nice U.S. early rebuild using mostly pre-war parts.
