Standard example of a pre-war long tang Model 71. Features full round barrel, ramp front sight, half magazine, sporting rear sight, blued finish, walnut stock with pistol grip, and checkered shotgun buttplate. Barrel and tube retains approximately 97% original blue. Magazine cap is grey. 20% blue on forend cap. 90% blue on frame. Loading gate is grey steel. Walnut stocks are excellent and proud to metal with a few minor impressions. A Williams side mount scope base has been added to left side with a Tasco scope. Fine action. Strong, clean bore. Very nice rifle, would greatly benefit from a period correct scope such as a Lyman Alaskan.
