Manufactured in 1905-06. All matching numbers. one of the earliest Fox serial numbers noted. Built by the Philadelphia Arms Company. Frame is simply stamped "FOX". Barrels features full matte rib, single bead and stamped "PHILADEPLHIA ARMS CO MAKERS KRUPP FLUID STEEL". Barrels are grey-brown patina with a couple of minor dents underneath barrel. Fine bores. Standard extractors. Lock-up is tight. Has a boxlock, double triggers, and light border engraving. All grey patina. Has a pistol grip checkered walnut stock with a couple of fine hairline beginning cracks at wrist, composite grip cap, a dilapidated rubber buttplate, splinter forearm with Deeley release. checkering almost worn smooth. Wonderful early old clean as a whistle shotgun. Would be stunning if expertly restored and one of the earliest Philadelphia Fox shotguns extant.
