The action of this rifle was built from March 1943 to June 1943. It has been custom manufactured into a so-called "Tanker" style. Barrel is a Springfield barrel dated 10-43. Bolt is stamped "D28287-17SA B4C". Has an early Lock-Bar rear sight. Walnut stocks are very good to excellent with no cartouche. Rifle retains a majority of the reapplied dark military finish. Clean bore. ME reading: 1. These are handy little custom rifles.
