These revolvers were manufactured from 1861 to 1865. Features six shot round cylinder and hinged loading lever assembly. The distinctive ring rotates the cylinder and cocks the hammer, and the trigger fires the weapon. Serial number is found on frame under right grip. Government purchases amounted to 11,984 revolvers. Numerous "W" and "H" inspector stamps on metal, indicating Army procurement. Savage address on top of frame. Metal is an all clean, grey patina with walnut grips. Both sides of grips have chips. Legends are sharp. Fine action. Strong rifled bore.
