Manufactured in a limited edition of 1,000 sets authorized by the United States Historical Society, circa 1980. These are accurate copies of the pair owned by Jefferson himself, which are on display in Monticello. Queen Anne style paktong boxlock flintlock actions with silver grotesque mask buttcaps and oval wrist escutcheons. Screw off cannon barrels also of paktong. Walnut grips. Engraved frames with "LONDON" in banner on right side and "DEALTRY" on the opposite side. Complete with octagonal mahogany case with inlaid border on lid and a framed silhouette of Jefferson in the center. Fitted interior of green velour interior with all accessories including two keys, barrel removal wrench, screwdriver, single cavity bullet mold, velvet bags for pistols themselves and a few lead balls. Excellent condition with some light handling marks and case with some storage marks, pans have some green buildup around touch holes and frizzens have some marks from flints.
