Manufactured in 1971 this beautiful set of commemorative of 2nd generation percussion revolvers is number 48 of 250 made. Both are marked on the left side of barrel. First gun is "ROBERT E. LEE COMMEMORATIVE- NINETING SEVENTY ONE" Second gun is "ULYSSES S. GRANT COMMEMORATIVE - NINETING SEVENTY ONE" Tapered octagon barrels cylinders and triggers are blue. Loading lever, frame and hammer are case colored. Trigger guards and back straps are silver plate. Cylinders are roll engraved with a naval scene. One piece fitted American black walnut grips with high gloss lacquer finish. Guns retain 99.9 % of the original factory applied finish.
