Lockplate is dated 1864 with eagle. Has an 1864 style rear sight. One piece walnut stock is good with no visible cartouche and a crack on both sides of wrist. Barrel is a mottled brown-grey. Middle barrel band is broken. Brown patina on all patina. Block is dated 1866. Fine action. Very good bore with black powder abrasion. Typical example of a Civil War converted rifle. Could use a little TLC with stock and some cleaning.
