Manufactured 1937. This L.C. Smith Field Grade does not appear to have ever been put together. The blued barrels with raised rib and single bead are still coated with the original shipping cosmoline. It is a Field Grade with all matching numbers. Frame retains all of its brilliant case colors and sports double triggers, black composite buttplate and grip cap, and near mint wood. Gun shows no wear of any kind. No rings around the firing pin. Still has packing grease on frame. Comes in the original cardboard box with inserts. Label is extremely worn but partially visible. Has some tape repairs and most of the inner cardboard dividers and lined with a December 2nd, 1944 newspaper. There is an accessory box from New Haven addressed to Newark, New Jersey from the New Haven Clock Co. (empty) and an old red hang tag that lists this gun at $60 and $1.50 for ammo.
