Manufactured 1876. Very early production civilian Colt Single Action Army. Matching serial number on barrel, frame, trigger guard and cylinder. Backstrap is No. 38306. Two line frame address. Sharp one line barrel address. Very good walnut one piece grips. Traces of original nickel plating in hidden recesses but basically a soft, clean, brown homogeneous patina with sharp edges. Grips are very good, slightly shy of metal. Screws have slight marring. Trigger bow stamped ".45 CAL". Does not have all four Colt clicks but does index fine and locks up with slight play. Strong, clean bore. An excellent example of an early civilian antique Colt.
