Manufactured 1896. Given that the first 5,000 were Flatsides, this is a very early scalloped framed example in the antique serial range. Standard model all the way. Barrel retains 90% original factory blue finish with some storage marks on the right side of barrel. Left side of frame and magazine retain approximately 90% original blue and approximately 80% on right side with some flaking. Lever is basically brown patina. Fire blue extractor. Generous case colors on hammer. Wood is excellent with no cracks and fine finish. Strong bore and action.
