Manufactured 1910. This is a fine example of a rifle you do not see many of. Special features include pencil half octagon barrel, full magazine, checkered straight grip stock and forearm, sporting front sight, folding ladder rear sight, blued finish, case colored hammer and lever. The barrel retains approximately 75-80% original factory blue with the balance simply soft patina showing through the blue surface. 90% blue on tube. Grey forend cap. 95% bright Winchester blue on both sides of the frame, 30% on bottom and 70% on bridge; balance smooth patina. 99% bright blue on bolt. 20% blue on loading gate. Generous case colors on hammer. Lever has patterned out. Wood is excellent, proud to metal with no cracks or chips, but has had some finish added as evidenced by shiny checkering. An extremely handsome, special order, never seen 1886 with lots of condition and in a popular caliber with numerous special order features.
