Lot contains an original World War II Luftwaffe “table medal” presentation case, with two known to be reproduction Kreta medallions. Box has an embossed Luftwaffe eagle in gold, as well as the manufacturer of “P. Bruckmann & Sohne, Heilbronn”. Both medallions are smaller, lack the correct markings, as well as lack the fine details as known originals. These medallions commemorate the German victory of the island of Crete by German paratroopers during May of 1941.
