Lots contains a German WWII Battle Flag (A), a Nazi era automobile club fender pendant (B), and an Imperial German WWI podium flag (C). (A) An original German World War II Kriegsmarine battle flag approximately 39” x 66” in size. Flag is marked with an eagle and swastika as well as a “M” for the German Navy along the roped end. Flag is also marked “Reichskriegs Fl 100 x 170” which means the Third Reich’s war flag and the size in centimeters. Flag colors are strong and vibrant. Flag has a 2” tear near the top which has been repaired, and 1.5” rip on the bottom which has also been repaired but come loose. Flag also has two small holes near the right edge. Very good. (B) An original Nazi era automobile club fender pendant with fender mount and emblem. The “D.D.A.C.” represents “Der Deutscher Automobil Club” which was the Nazi era designation for a club which was founded in 1903. Pendant measures 12.5” in length and 7.5” at its widest point. Fender mount is made from aluminum and is 16” in height with steel mounting hardware. Pendant is attached to pole with 2 spring clips, and exhibits age staining on most of it. Good. (C) An original Imperial German World War I unit “podium type” double sided flag which measures 14” x 14” at its widest points. On reverse the flag presents the Imperial German national colors of black, white, and red woven in silk. On the front the flag presents a 1914 Iron Cross with silver bullion trim on a velvet base, and Iron Cross ribbon pieces with silver bullion trim, and the unit designation “HR14” for Hussar Regiment 14. Entire flag is bordered with bullion tassels. Flag also has a long brown/ black woven hanging cord attached to the top edge. Moderate damage to the top silk trim and some age staining to the white portion of the Iron Cross and ribbon. National colors on reverse are strong and vibrant.
