German World War II SS overcoat. A very heavily lined “Russian Front” style overcoat. Overcoat appears to be of the army style. Enlisted SS sleeve eagle is present on left sleeve, and is hand applied. Senior NCO shoulder boards have copper brown rayon piping. Boards are black on top and field gray underneath. Tongues are black with gray HBT lining. Rank pips have steel prongs. Front of overcoat has two rows of five buttons, which are painted field grey. Buttons are marked “GB” and appear to be originally sewn. Coat has a vertical slash pocket on each side, above the lower flapped pockets. There are 20 plastic buttons on the inside which appear to be for an extra liner. The inside of the field grey coat is lined with a factory sewn black wool. No moth holes appear to be present, though there is some minor tracking to the right of the right slash pocket.
