Manufactured 1902 to 1906. Offered is a very rare blued, British proofed, seven shot, double action revolver with case colored hammer and trigger and Smith & Wesson black logo grips. A total of 4,575 were manufactured. Has the distinct push button cylinder release. Built on the round butt N frame with pinned barrel. No. 431 engraved on right grip panel. Matching serial number on barrel and back of cylinder. British proof marks on barrel and every cylinder flute. Features the early, high polish factory blue finish of which 95% remains. Near mint grips. Near mint bore and action. Comes in a period hinged-lid brown box with proper end label used in the 1880's through the 1920's. The remains of "483" can be seen on the bottom of box, which is the reverse of the serial number, and some one later wrote "451". Revolver comes with a soft leather carry pouch.
