Manufactured and dated 1951. This is a fairly early example, introduced in 1946 with ten shot fixed box magazine, blued finish and two-piece wood stock. Serial numbers on receiver, bolt, carrier, top cover, magazine (renumbered 4615 electro-pencil) and stock all match. Barrel has CAI import marks. Comes with swing-out bayonet, military sight and sling swivel at rear. Dated 1951. Overall excellent condition inside and out with usual dings, retaining majority of factory finish. An extremely nice example of an early Russian SKS military rifle built during the pre-Vietnam War era.
