Bailey & Co., Philadelphia, oval with floral and scroll chasing on the lid and base, the handles cast and chased as fruiting grape vines, the lid is engraved "The Democrats of Savannah to Franklin Pierce President of the United States 1853 to 1857"; the base continuing with "In Grateful Memory of his Faithful Adherence to the Constitution of his Country". Cast, chased details and engraving sharp and in very good condition. Length:15-1/2". Weight: 65 ozt. From the Ray Bentley Collection.
