Birmingham 1895, S.B. & S, probably S. Blanckensee & Sons, with an urn form body with two panels, one chased with a show jumping scene, the other with a view of the bridge over the Thames at Richmond all amid scrolling roses, and on a tall foot with cast scrolled leafage supports from a domed base set with enameled plaques of coats of arms, the rim of the foot engraved "This challenge cup for hunters was presented to the Richmond Horse Show Society by the Readers of the Richmond and Twickenham Times 1896", the domed ribbed lid with a cast horse finial and the cast initials of the horse club, the edge with a later inscription.
