Measures 12-1/4" tall, no lid, base measures 5-1/2" in diameter. Features a 4" military figure holding a rifle and leaning against a tree, the cup is inscribed "A testimonial presented to Capt. Alexandre George Bax by the Commanding Officers. and members of the 36th Middlesex "Paddington" Rifle Volunteers as a mark of esteem and appreciation of his services while adjutant of the Regiment during a period of nearly six years Jany. 29th, 1867." Hallmarked five times on back side, cup has repousse Gothic designs. The figure is missing one retaining brad below foot. From the Ray Bentley Collection.
