Raised inscription under the rim presented in "1901 to Joseph Schwab by the employees of the Duquesne Steel Works" and etched with three vignettes showing the Blast Furnaces, Forty Inch Mill and Open Heart Furnace separated by three cast figures of a miner, a furnace worker and a classical female each under a handle with applied oak leaves and acorns, all on a stem cast as a globe on a spreading base with three cast American eagles on sections chased as American shields and riveted to a domed steel bottom with a silver rim. Marked under base "Tiffany & Co. 14365 Makers 1450 Sterling Silver 925-1000 / 13 pints". Dent to top rim. Height: 15-1/4". Weight: 169 ozt. This lot is illustrated and discussed in "Loring, Magnificent Tiffany Silver" (2001), pp. 110-111. From the Ray Bentley Collection. CORRECTION: 1 incorrect photo removed.
