Mappin & Webb London 1926, rectangular with a slightly domed lid applied with a shield and sides tapering to a molded edge, engraved to "Lieutenant General Walter Bedell-Smith US Army from his British friends at Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force 1944-1945"; together with an engraved salver, Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co., 1931, in George II/III style on cast ball and claw feet and with a shaped gadroon border and engraved to "General Lyman Lemnitzer as Supreme Allied Commander Europe, dated 1969". With a lot tag from the James Mountain WWII Collection, Alderfers 9 September 2009, lot 1092. Length:13-1/2". Weight of second: 19.3 ozt. From the Ray Bentley Collection.
