Manufactured 1919 at war's end. This is a standard Colt with the brushed military blue finish. All original with period correct parts to include long smooth trigger, short checkered wide spur hammer, checkered slide stop and safety, and diamond checkered walnut grips. Left side of frame has the eagle head stamp with "17" on trigger bow. Hammer channel is stamped "H7". Correct sights. Left side of slide has center pony with "AUGUST 19TH 1913" last patent date. "MODEL OF US ARMY" on right side of slide. Top of blued barrel has the intertwined "HP". Magazine has the five view hole pinned base with lanyard. Flat mainspring housing with lanyard. The grip safety and front grip strap are basically grey patina. Balance of frame retains approximately 80% of the original brushed blue military finish. Slide retains approximately 75% of the brushed blue military finish with most of the flaking on top. Grips are excellent with sharp checkering. Strong rifled bore. A very nice, far above average condition with usual holster and grip wear. It is accompanied by an original Mills web belt, 1918 first aid pouch and kit, 1918 dated web magazine pouch with two extra half tone tempered pinned based magazines (no lanyard), canteen with cover stamped "US" and an original lanyard. All in excellent or better condition.
