Serial No. 189756 or partial can be found stamped on the frame, trigger guard, backstrap, cylinder, base pin, barrel and wedge. The cylinder has a nearly 100% visible roll-engraved Naval scene, original nipples and all flattened safety pins. Octagon barrel has the New York barrel address and retains bright blue underneath with basically grey patina on balance. Traces of color on loading lever, frame and hammer. No finish on cylinder and no visible plating on brass trigger guard or strap. Sports a fine pair of period ivory grips that are slightly shy to metal. Strong, clean bore. Indexes and locks up tight. Very handsome revolver with the ivories and some nice original finish.
