In 2013, Engraver Aaron Pursley (Big Sandy gunsmith, knife maker, rancher and engraver Aaron "Duke" Pursley has been inducted into the Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame) took a Colt Single Action Army black powder frame revolver made in 1882 and turned it into an artistic masterpiece. The gun was fully blued and the entire surface was decorated with a gold damascene pattern, offering nearly complete coverage. Backstrap is engraved "DUCERE CUM DIGNITAS" (Yoked Together With Dignity). It was then fitted with a beautiful pair of ivory grips. This revolver features matching numbers on frame, trigger guard and backstrap. Indexes and locks up like new. Strong rifled bore with light frosting. Retains virtually all of its custom finish. Housed in an old repurposed wood box.
