Manufactured 1915. Features octagon barrel with no provision for rear sight slot, Lyman blade front sight, folding tang sight, blue finished hammer and lever, factory sling eyes, and two piece straight grained walnut stocks with crescent butt. Traditional two line Winchester address marking on barrel with "NICKEL STEEL BARREL" marking on flat adjacent to chamber. Blue finish on barrel and magazine very good with over 80% remaining with slight edge wear and several minor areas of moisture staining evident 10" from muzzle. Receiver finish is mottled with retention being over 40%, balance being patina. Two piece walnut stocks are very fine with no real distress but showing period use and slight bruising. Several small scratches at wrist and forearm. Factory varnish finish is very fine as most remains. The bore is absolutely stunning and is bright with very sharp lands and grooves. Mechanics are crisp and in proper functioning order .
