Round barrel with address, markings and "CAL 22 SHORT" on left; standard sporting front sight with standard stamped sporting rear sight, and two piece walnut stocks with 17 groove forearm. Magazine loading port is the proper and correct triangular .22 Short Only pattern. This variation is without the special order "Winchester" markings on left side of receiver. This .22 Short Only Gallery Model is housed in its matching numbered Winchester cardboard box. Original Gallery Models are extremely difficult to find as they where consumed by the Gallery owners and every young kid used these rifles with no regard to the future collectors wants or concerns. This rifle shows no actual indication of use and is a fresh to market find coming from a Midwest American collection. Traces of blue wear are evident on top of receiver rails from opening and closing the rifle a few times but that is all. The numbers matching box is crisp with strong corners and excellent label. Enclosed in box is factory hang tag, warranty card and instruction manual, as well as all cardboard inserts and wax paper. Truly a time capsule and an opportunity to own the very best.
