This fine revolver features full factory nickel finish, six shot, double action, lanyard ring and Colt black gutta percha grips. Matching number on frame and cylinder. Frame, barrel and ejector rod retain approximately 85% original factory nickel with some minor freckling. Razor sharp legends. Block letter "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" on left side. Traces of fire blue on trigger. Cylinder has approximately 20% original nickel, balance soft brown patina. Both grip panels have 3/4" chips at frame pins; these grips can easily be replaced or repaired. Indexes and locks up correctly both single and double action. Strong, clean bore. Very nice example of an early 1878 Colt.
