Carbine length barrel with standard integral Winchester pre-war front sight assembly and elevator adjustable rear sight; blue finish with bright numbers matching bolt with blue bolt handle and cocking assembly; one piece American walnut checkered Winchester Model 70 stock with 1-1/4" sling swivels and steel trigger guard assembly. The Winchester Model 70 carbine was a very limited production rifle and was typically very hard used. This example, although showing reasonable use, is in fine overall condition. Blue finish on barrel is thinning with over 85% remaining and balance being rather mottled. Receiver with the correct two drilled holes in receiver bridge and no holes in rear retains over 95% of it factory applied soft matte finish. Walnut stock is very fine with a very slight amount of finish wear at wrist; base of forearm retains virtually all of its factory vanish. Trigger guard assembly finish is thinning at edges and foreword area of hinge. This is an extremely honest and correct Model 70 carbine. Bore and mechanics are very fine.
