This special order rifle has a half round-half octagon barrel with traditional two line Winchester barrel address and is chamber marked "CAL .45-60". Blue finish overall with two piece standard walnut stocks, 1876 marked ladder sight (missing elevator) on barrel, brass bladed sporting sight at front and half magazine with crescent butt plate. Good overall as most all metal is void of finish with exception of very protected areas. Balance of metal has a pleasant patina thinning to bright steel in more exposed areas. Two piece wood stocks have been sanded and refinished at an earlier period and buttstock numbers are not matching to this rifle. A small amount of wood loss is evident at upper and lower tangs and length way crack exist internally at wrist to tang screw position. Bore is moderately good with strong rifling with slight darkness in grooves.
