Features round barrel with sporting front sight, elevator adjustable rear sporting sight, and two piece straight grained American walnut stocks with plain trigger and crescent butt. The .44 WCF (.44-40) cartridge is the most desirable of chambering for the 1892 rifle. The rifle made a great companion to a Colt or other similar make of handgun chambered for the same cartridge. This example has a superb bore with sharp rifling. All markings are sharp and crisp. Action is smooth and mechanics are fine. Two piece walnut stocks are very nice with most factory finish remaining with slight patina and darkening from period use. The barrel, magazine and receiver have all been restored and have attained a very mellow chocolate patina blended with remnants of factory blue finish.
